I Know You Rider cover by Grateful Dead
Chain of Fools cover by Aretha Franklin
“You guessed it: Shrek 2”
KSC returns to Charlotte with their buddies Dangermuffin for a night of fun at The Music Yard. This set is loosely train themed and was intended to be used on the Train Songz channel with the prompt “begin and end the set with a train song.”
Opens with the lovely lydian “Lady I Love” with the line “we met on the back of the train.” Right into Becca’s Dad, who was indeed in attendance. Louis does Skibidi Bop scat thing from the studio recording of “Marty Song.” “393” is about Louis’ trip to France as this gig followed two weeks of no gigs. Jam is pretty cool. Louis nails the tempo on “Trapeze.” Right into “Petrified.” Jam goes into Scofield territory. Brian gives a shout out to the skinny tall skeletons. Crab Surprise gets crazy. One guy was really upset over his untimely death. Twilight zone esque intro to “Checkin’ Out.” Guitar, sax, and drum soloes in this version. Then a pretty tape rendition of *Exploration Date. Laura jam is quite Zappa-y. Porridge is everybody’s favorite fairytale so if it’s not your favorite you’re not everybody. “Waiting on a Train” brought back into the rotation. Ultra psychy. Transition into “I know you rider” continuing train theme. “Hot Tub” lyrics changed to “Freight Train.” Ben was scared. Cars> Train of Fools to close out the set. Epic stuff.
