KSC’s big return to Roosterwalk in Martinsville, VA. Killer set. Opens with “I am the wheel,” the mightiest of the band’s tunes. Some fans can be heard singing Pearl Jam’s “Alive” in the background. Right into “Space For Days” with the double time jam. Super stellar. Vocal jam ascends into groovy funky section and eventually into a full rendition of “Psycho Killer” before going back to the main s4d riff. “393” in honor of the overnight drive from the last night’s gig with Dogs in a Pile in Syracuse. Awesome psych sax jam. Both pop country songs in a row. “Me & My Lady” still unreleased at this time. “Some Kind of Party” starting to sound a little bit like “Say Hey!” Hmmmm. Right into Marty with the Sojourn ending. Alice In Chains “Rooster” was first played at RW back in 2018 or so. Brushed up for this show. From land to sea, “Crab Surprise.” Solo goes into fugue territory for a bit. Cool harmonies over drum solo before crabby dies. From sea to space with “Space is the Place.” Ripping stuff. By fan request, Stanley  was a lobster instead of an oyster today. I’m not exactly sure why that was the case but it’s 2025 so I’m ok with it. Brian forgot though. Very good solo, didn’t know he had it in him. Goes into linear territory. And then woody woodpecker territory. And then a sweet lick repeated for a stupidly long time. That’s the good stuff. Howdy doody, it’s “Porridge” time. Brian gives a nice tribute to Rooster Walk. If anybody sees Goldy locks send them his way. “Wasted” with the hora ending. Sauerkraut takes over KSC to close out the set. “Zeh fish is in Zeh pond” and “The rooster is taking a walk” are sprinkled in.
