Alas, the old man's voice seems to be slightly flat on a number of the tunes here. His voice seems to be in good shape, so I wonder if he was having a problem hearing his vocals in the mix through his ear monitors. Otherwise some of the re-imagined songs fall flat as well, notably the thumping new "Lodi" and "Keep On Chooglin'", the propulsive momentum of which screeches to a halt for Kenny Aronoff's technically impressive but rhythmically intrusive drum solo.
