This was a great opener to an amazing weekend.I am still trying to be able to put it all into words. Awesome Shine (even though it was unfinished and segues out rather abruptly) into a super strong MLT w/ Roberto from spearhead. The Franti rap was really special as his mic cut out and he stepped up on the tip of the stage and started doing call and response lyrics. Shanytown was a Horning`s first time appearance,if i`m not mistaken, and raged super hard as a perfect set 2 opener. My highlight of the first night was definitely the Xavier Rudd sit-in for Land`s End > San Jose.started out with a nice didg jam and this land`s end was super funked out as all time seemed to slow down and as it led into san jose,i could feel my whole body reverberating through the didg groove. I remember thinking that they had set some really high standards for the next 2 nights and i can`t say i was let down a bit :)
