Reviews for Pearl Jam: 10/30/2009 The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA

The setlist isn’t as varied or as long as the following night, but the songs they do play are done so damn well near perfect. Some fans actually prefer this night. Give it a listen either way - you can’t lose.

Agree with the above. Just like to add that on top of this incredible run of shows, the ‘09 World Series was going on across the street at Citizen Bank Park between the Phillies and Yankees. The band played into it and updated the crowd of any highlights and score changes. The Oct 28th show featured ring girls with scorecards who would take the stage each time a scoring change occurred. Always the showmen, part of what makes PJ so great is their hyper awareness of the crowd and the cities that they’re playing in. They are always in the moment. Plus it’s always nice to hear ‘In Hiding’ live. Enjoy!

Remarkable string of shows. Second to last show in this great old arena. Saw two Stanley cup teams in the ‘70s and at least one given away to the amazing Detroit Red Wings in ‘97. Would like to point out the trio of songs in encore 2 known from the momma-son tapes. Amazing run to close out this historic old barn done by a band like no other. Enjoy!!
