Reviews for Widespread Panic: 7/28/2006 Mid South Coliseum, Memphis, TN

I attended both Memphis Shows, as I did last fall, and treat Friday night the first set; Saturday day as a long bilssfull intermission, and Saturday night as the second set and encore. Friday Highlights: 1. I too learned how to drive on a tractor w/ the help of my DAD (back in 1969 for god`s sake!!) Love Tractor is the new favourite playing around in my head! 2. I have heard the new ETA material last fall and in Releigh this spring. The material is beyond excellent and w/ each performance it gets tighter. Good People and You Should Be Glad are unbelieveably "happy" (as intedned I`m sure). 3. Don`t Wanna Loose You is another favourite and was performed magnificently by all!! 4. You Got Yours is another favourite. and I was blown away when Jo Jo (Get Down!) began the opening keys. All in all this was the best set I had ever seen (..first concert was Memphis 2003 so I`m still a neo-fan). I have never seen joy, artistry and integrity blended the way these guys do it...

Well, I am sad that George is leaving. I have not ever seen Mickey play but really don`t think that ANYONE will replace him. I think George rocked Wednesday at Grand Prairie, Friday and Saturday at Memphis. I only regret that I didn`t call in sick at work and see George`s last show in St Louis.

This was an awesome show.... Especially with walk on and even you got yours! George was sick the whole show and seeing him up in the box made it even better! Incredible last show for the boy....
