Both nights were great, but this seems to be the better night as a whole. It was on from beginning to end. It was a nice way to spend my honeymoon having not been to the Greek since 2001.

Great show. But where is the 7/11 Oregon show already???

Pedal steel is my favorite instrument in the world. While I realize that not every Panic song would benefit from it, it makes some songs sound way better sonically and texturally(is that a word?). I guess that`s why he only plays it sometimes. Keane has done WONDERS for songs like Surprise Valley, Pilgrims, Driving Song, etc. Just my dumbass opinion, of course...

Hey now! Let`s not get carried away. This IS a band from Athens, so pedal steel is completely legit. Infact, it`s necessary.

You can take the band out of the South. But you cannot take the South out of the band!

Make that four guitars boys.

Saw both shows at The Greek Theatre and could not agree more with August Dupree. Sam Holt second set Machine> Chilly Water was HOT! This guy can play, he "works" better with George, and he blows away John Keane. If the boy`s want to add a third guitarist to the line-up, then use Sam. This is a Rock and Roll band, so dump the steel pedal!

*I meant Sam Holt came out to start the second set :)
Forget about the fact that Schools` blog is probably the best thing that has ever happened to any tour, anywhere. Reading Dave`s account of the time spent at the Greek and in the Bay makes it imposibly real. Imagine if Lesh had the opportunity to write about some of the legendary shows and times had by the band and then make it available to the masses within days of the show. And as a writer Schools is no slouch either! What can`t he do? DOWNLOAD this show NOW and then go get the show from the 7th. Print out Schools` blog and turn it into CD covers. It doesn`t get any better than that my friends.
