I was 17 and at my second Bonnaroo. I didn’t know Gov’t Mule other than Soulshine but figured I’d stick around when I heard Bobby playing Sugaree as I neared the tent. This is one of the shows that lit the fire and keeps me coming to shows today. Oh; the things I would give to return to that moment on the farm when my Moby Dick dreams became a reality.

I was at this show. It was incredible, I was stage left hanging with hippie Bill and this guy had a medical emergency. We got him on a golf cart with some medical folks. These guys played in such a dusty environment, I could not fathom how the heck they were able to sing with all the dust in the air! JPJ, Hot Tuna, Bob Weir, even poor Lewis Black getting beaned with a water bottle during his routine. Damn I miss those days!

No Quater w/John Paul Jones, umm HELL YEAH!!! Epic tune, from an epic show. Guest abound. Bob Weir, Jorma, John Paul Jones. Sound is fantastic as is the energy. Give it a listen, you wont be disappointed.
