Reviews for Widespread Panic: 5/27/2011 Riverfest, Little Rock, AR

Wow wow wow. From the very begining it was a special night. Starting with J.B. watching Jerry Joseph from stage left with a huge smile to straight through to the encores it was a wonderful evening. Watched the first set with the sun setting behind the boys made wonder which was shining brighter this evening. The 1000th Chilly Water was defiantly a highlight. If one just listens they might think Jimmy is doing the feedback but you'd be wrong. That was Dave holding his bass to his cabinets. I don't know who had more fun, me or the band. Thats all I can say. Special special special.

Sick, Sick, Sick!!!! One of the sickest shows I've seen in 10 yrs!!! The Chainsaw City with JJ was the highlight for me, but its so hard to single out a single "Best" moment. Expiration Date was a wonderful nugget as well... was expecting an "old chunk of coal" - E.D. was a wonderful substitution.
As always, I feel thankful after such a show. The boys brought it and this is a MUST download!!!

This was my 7th Panic show to see live, and I'm a serious fan of their music. I have more than 50 shows downloaded in my arsenal of music, and I must say that the first set of this show was "stout"!!!!!! These guys came to play and set the Rock on fire!! The setup, sound, and atmosphere were awesome! Thanks, Panic, for making Riverfest 2011 something special to remember!! C. Masters

On of the many cool things about this exceptional show was that the stage faced the Clinton Presidential Center. If you turned around after nightfall, you could see columns of light shooting up from behind the band. The lights attracted bugs and there were easily a couple dozen beautiful nighthawks diving and swooping, getting the best serenade that insect eaters could hope for. That atmospheric aside, the guys showed they meant business with the opening jam, stepping out with Pleas as the second number. I really don't know how they sustain it. A great night with a spectacular band.

All I gotta say is that JB and company brought the heat to LR Friday night. 25 years they've been at it and I gotta say I've seen some of their best shows played and that was an unexpected smoker Friday night indeed. Thank you boys and cheers!

Good festival, great weather and, as you'd expect, a fine performance. When Jerry Joseph came out, I must confess to thinking it would be one guitar too many. But I couldn't have been more wrong. His rhythm guitar drove the band with funky and bluesy grooves, even making that monstrous six-string bass fall into a new step. Whether you were there or not, certainly worth the download. But there's nothing better than being there -- the all-consuming WSP wall of sound!

Thanks for helping bring Arkansas the best Memorial weekend its seen in a long time. Keep up the good work boys, the show was incredible, as always. I think, at some point we were all hangin in the light!
