Reviews for Widespread Panic: 4/9/2011 Civic Center, Asheville, NC

Consensus was that they were focused, sober and very professional for the Athens shows. And this one was more of the party show for band and crew. Mistakes and sloppiness galore, but it was still a fun night at the Fox . And the sultans break out was $$$$

Jimmy busting out those southern rock licks over the fat bass line in the barstools intro is perfect

One of the best jimmy-Era runs in history. Ribs in Whiskey (great Carolina opener) > Rebirtha. First time heard the song n 25 shows so it was awesome. First set ended with that heat. YGY>Machine>B&D. Satisfied rap left me so satisfied i nearly ejaculated. 2nd was so solid. All classic panic tunes with a killer six song surge to end it. And to top it off, the encore was a new song, a classic, and a classic cover. Some fans hate dirty side down being an encore but you got to respect the music they make now and how it has changed over time

BTW if u complain about Mikey being gone, just shut up. Panic will never be panic without Mikey " Panic" Houser, but he would want them to let the Good Tunes continue for all us Good People.

this show sounds just fine to me... Clean out your ears, pal. The whole weekend was FILTHY, almost perfect. I'll gladly pay for these downloads.

I can't believe people are saying that these Asheville shows are the best they have seen... I enjoyed both of them but they don't come close to being the best. Schools seemed a bit out of it Friday night and these recordings aren't doing too much good in trying to remember what drinking Sweetwater 420 had me forgetting. I am a diehard fan don't get me wrong but I agree with others about these recordings sounding terrible. To spend $120 on tickets then have to buy the SBDs (take a look at Phish hint hint) and have them sound like this is just depressing. Instead of pushing them out in less than 24 hours you guys might want to work on that tweaking just a little bit more. At least I have the Satisfied rap to bring me out of a funk. Peace and Panic...
