1st Dead show I ever saw. This was a Thursday night and I was in the 9th grade. The New Riders opened around 9pm so needless to say it was going to be a late night. Jerry played pedal steel on the New Rider’s sets. Listening to the show now, it was definitely a good show, Bob and Jerry’s vocals were in good form, jams were tight. At the time I was having the time of my life until reality set in when the show ended around 3am and it would be time to confront the parents! A great show to have started a journey to see them so many more times and thoroughly enjoying them still.
