Just another pretty face. This Althea is haunting. Beautiful. Tuesday means a couple of drops and a couple of standout shows from the good ol' Grateful Dead. And 3/24/85 isn't one to miss. It's a remarkable show. It's sultry, low down and slow. It kicks when it needs to kick and it sticks the dust. Everyone is firing, delivering. Signed and sealed.

I couldn’t even imagine at the time that 41 years after a Grateful Dead show I was at could be listened to via an “app” on my “ smart phone” in “high def”. I was 18 at the show, and I am 60 today. Happy to be alive to experience it! Also cool to hear the boys tighten things up as 1985 unfolds. I do believe this was the first East Coast Bertha after Garcia got popped in Golden Gate Park. Of course the crowd roared at the “test me, test me” line. Great sounding show! I saw my first rock concert ever, J Geils Band, with Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson opening, in the same room six years prior. Give me five, I’m still alive…
