That Bird Song was the best I’ve ever been able to hear Brent on the piano. I had know idea he was doing that much. Great quality audio. Finally can hear what I’ve been missing even while seeing them live.

That second set was absolute fire! (Pun intended) The effect on Bobby’s voice in The Other One gave me that “altered state” feel that occurred around this time during a show.

It would be nice to venture off of 89 for a bit but plenty in the library to keep me busy. Im just saying maybe keep doing 89 on 1 and 1 a dart throw at other years? If I had to choose between the 2 I go this one but maybe that's because its playing in my soul. Miss the band all of you !

Hell in a Bucket Man what a rush... Strong opener delivered with that psychedelic blues riptide precision. This is perfect '89 Dead. It's tight. Together. The parties going on all night baby and some. They Love Each Other has a real place up early. It's hip and it's giving. A trip and it's living. Breathing. Bouncing. There's a real soulful kickback to '71-'73 with the mid to end of Set One. Proving the Dead were never anything less than electrifying. Bird Song is emotional. Scarlet Begonias is slow off the runway but that audience excitement is a track in itself. It's delivered like a bullet or California Sunshine and it catches the mark. Straight. Dirty. Perfect. Come for Fire, stay for Truckin' x
