I grew up 20 minutes from the Rosemont Horizon and saw MANY concerts there. I was in high school when this show happened. I remember a bunch of my friends went and was asked to go. I unfortunately was not into the dead yet. I finally appreciated them much later in life. Glad to finally get to share what they heard that April night in '89. Great show!

4/13/89 Check out this drop. Stunning Set One opens with a sweet Iko Iko. Gets the mood just right. Takee it just where it needs to be. Lifts it out there baby. GSET has that kicking Bobby lead vocal. Real vibe. Peggy O is haunting, beautiful. Jerry delivers. Always. To Lay Me Down, cuts deep. Slow opening and you can hear the love in the crowd. Straight magic. Cassidy keeps the acid flag in the breeze and Foolish Heart strips the wind back over the sultry sea. The Dead are tight Tonight. Harmony. Melody. Jamspo.
