Only set two of this night, this may be one of the finest two hours of the Dead's career. A giant "Sugar Magnolia" sandwich, the band starts there then tails of into Scarlet Begonias. Then a night of magical surprises, including pacific playings of Row Jimmy and Big River, climaxing with an epic Mind Left Body Jam out of WRS. Few Dead sets have ever felt better paced - a masterpiece of rising energy. Finally, the encore: the best ever Ship of Fools. A classic night.
