The first of two consecutive late August nights at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago - a premiere venue downtown with truly perfect acoustics. The Dead would return here mere months later with Keith in tow, so this is Pigpen in his last full glory. One the last complete TIFTOO suites (the other is - again - in Chicago).
