Reviews for Grateful Dead: Road Trips Volume 2, Number 1: MSG September '90

I love the Road Trips series in general. My other favorite runs from the series are the SW Fall of 77 and Midwest Wall of Sound 74… But whoa, buddy… this one really packs a punch… Was Bruce a godsend to this band or what?! They could’ve packed it in when they lost Brent (and probably should have at least taken a break, but by this point the Grateful Dead was a money making machine and a plate that too many ate from). Bruce really saved the day with what he interjected into this band, particularly in Fall of 90.

September ‘90 at the Garden was such a great run of shows, 6 nights of incredible music. It feels more poignant considering Brents death only months earlier, and the grief the band was surely experiencing and expected to play through.
