Reviews for Widespread Panic: 7/9/2005 The Greek Theatre, Berkeley, CA

The show was amazing, the jams mesmerizing, esp. after a hit of "California Medicine" during All Time Low. This was my first Panic show. As a long-time Deadhead, its great to get into a band that is similar, yet totally unique and authentic. I have to point out that they definitely don`t have a hippie ethos. With the misogynist "Run for your Life" and lyrics about a "fag bar" in the encore, "redneck" seems more like it. P.S. Why doesnt this band play Dead covers anymore?

Hi everyone-

What a night at the Greek. Sad for me and my girlfriend though as it was the one month aniversary of the passing of my long time friend and tour companion..."Atticus Wilson" the all black German Shepherd Dog.

He grew up with me in Columbia, MO and probably joined me at 25+ shows. The rest were too hot and he needed to be left at home.

His favorite song was Pilgrams and we knew this because everytime the boys played it he would howl....without exception. I think they must have been hitting some notes he loved.

Anyway, as you can imagine I was choked up when they broke out the first notes and my whole group of friends from Missouri, Tahoe, SF and LA gave him the tribute he deserved and all began to HOWL through the show.

As soon as we heard the first notes I turned to my girlfriend and said "they are playing his song for him" and she said to me "of course they are!"

The boys sure are a special band and I want to thank them for making each and every show so special.

Thanks for that END OF THE SHOW too. It helped me to come to grips with the fact that it is the END OF THE "ATTICUS WILSON" SHOW!

Take Care ALL-

Bob Wilson

Outstanding. Pusher man was out of this world. conditions were perfect and the boys were in rare form. End of the show almost brought me to my knees.
