Reviews for Grateful Dead: 8/17/1991 Shoreline Amphitheatre , Mountain View, CA

This show gets overshadowed by the previous night's festivities. But, as we all know, any show that opens with H/S/F, is usually a heater, and that's just what we get here. After an outstanding Music to close out the first set, the band goes into party mode for women are smarter before a sweet, letter perfect Ship of fools. From there on, it's full on X factor. The jam out of He's Gone is exhibit A and the Dark Star jam out of space exhibit B. And the Morning Dew is, well , just listen and judge for yourself.

The second set rips. The jam out of He’s Gone into Drums was mind boggling. The Dark Star mini jam into dew was poignant and inspired.

This is the show where I got on the Bus. Beautiful and slightly chilly night at Shoreline. HSF opener is popping, and the Dark Star-Morning Dew closer was epic. Excellent late Dead show.

Thanks Dave for these 2 new smoking shows at Shoreline. This 1st set is from heaven.
