It's almost absurd that the highlights from this show used to circulate as a llimited edition bonus disc. Dave's Picks 16 (centering on the last night of this run) is really the Pigpen Show, but here on night 2 they run through their "psychedelic" greatest hits: Dark Star/Stephen/Eleven, as well as a full TIFTOO suite that ends in Cosmic Charlie, as it would for the next year or so.
This is amazing music, and yet it feels like an afterthought to what the band would brew up the next night. Still glorious.
