Truckin’ > The Other One transition is one of Phil’s all-time best. The whole show is really a fantastic gem from this era. Especially love Bird Song and the classic rendition of Friend of the Devil.

What a show!
Phil owns Truckin'
'72 was a year baby. Real heavy. Sweet.
Some straight up cuts.
Smooth, short solo in CR&S opening Set One.
Beautiful.
He's Gone is a real beauty man. Just packs a punch.
It's Loser for me though man. That's one of the best cuts of Loser. It's just got the wind baby. It speaks to me.
This show has some breakout sequencing man. It's a real solid show and one of my favourite Dave's Picks.
Black Peter and Friend of the Devil. I've got to hit it with the glide man they're just out there. Where they need to be. Tempo. Precise. Perfect.
PITB has one of the greatest solos
Just a real experience z

If someone can point me to a more psychedelic, tight and loose at the same time Other One, I’m all ears. But I think you’d be hard pressed to top this one. Epic

I’d say Veneta makes this look like such a sleeper! While Veneta is very likely the best show the Dead ever played, this one really shows just how crazy the tour was. Absolutely pristinely played songs in set 1 (maybe not Bertha but eh) and some real heady jams with Bird Song, PITB, Truckin, and the monstrous Other One!
