11/17/72 Props to Bear for this incredible show. The Dead are tight at Wichita. Set One opens with a sweet Promised Land, Sugaree and Me & My Uncle which is on fire. The musicianship is a vibe. Real cool. Pat. Straight. This is a great show. Everything works. I don't believe the Dead ever missed a beat. But even for a romantic head this '72 cut is a real groove man. It's just a scene. Nothing bumps like Tennessee Jed. BTW gets a real slick outing. Bobby's vocals are delivered like daylight. Bird Song has the jazz. The soul. Real easy. Phil Bombs. Zone...everything moves. It's like alive man. The entire show. One of the most underrated BEW. Don't sleep on it x
