An absolutely BRILLIANT show first featured on the 30 TRIPS boxed set, there's not much to add about 11/14/73 San Diego other than that it's exemplary 1973 dead, a full display of their greatness. HCS leads the first set, but it is the wonderful second set medley of The Other One - with Big River, Eyes Of The World, and Wharf Rat woven in between - that steals the show. This ranks up there with 10/19/73 (Dick's Picks 19) as perhaps the "ideal show" of the entire year.

Ah man. 11/14/73. Has a BRB opener ever kicked this sweet and sassy. We've got a raw Jack Straw drawing in the harmony, and you can really dig how behind it the audience is getting. Delicate man. Real tight show. One of my favourite Sugaree hits. Mexicali / Sunshine - they bring it baby. But for me, man on a personal level when I hear Bobby on BTW I get the chills man. That's the scene. There's a dreamlike Row Jimmy for the ages man. It's ethereal and underrated. BEW has the soul. Jerry's vocal delivery is meticulous. Executed and drawn. I've got a playlist of boards with all the BEW solos. It's a real trip, and 11/14/73 sits somewhere towards the end with the best of them. Don't sleep on this x
