As the first Dick's Pick, this occupies a special space in Dead history. And as the first DP, it's a wonky little artifact - Phil was heavily involved in selecting and even editing tracks - so it feels a bit incomplete (Mississippi Half-Step just fades out instead of going into Bobby McGee). But what's here gold. Maybe the best ever HCS, intentionally sequenced to open. A Set 2 medley that takes TOO into hyperspace. A great way to start.
