PROTIP: All of these three August '74 shows should be heard properly on Dick's Picks 31, where they are delightfully well sequenced and organized. But it's hard to go wrong in any event with this first night in Philly's barn of a venue. This is where the massive "Playing In The Band" that opens that set hails from. The highlights here are all fine. Still, listen to DP31 instead, which presents all this material to better advantage.
