I had come to Telluride mountaineering school at 15 years old after having gotten kicked out of fountain Valley school in Colorado Springs for smoking pot. A friend Andrew Hartnett from Winnetka Illinois told me about the Grateful Dead.. And he told me about LSD. I came back to Oklahoma City. Took two hits of blotter and listened to Terapin. Then there was the show in Norman, Oklahoma that my big sister took me to. I don’t really remember much about the show except that I was at that moment somehow changed. Haven’t looked back since.

Very pleased to hear these tracks - originally hidden bonus tracks on Dick's Picks 29 - on Play Dead, since they were missing from Nugs. Would be nice to see them combined from the other released 10/11/77 songs from this date, including a great Help/Slip/Franklin. Those songs can be found on Road Trips (and here under 10/7/77), however, so it's not great problem. Glad to see them reposted.

Have yet to find a poster for this show, glad they played Dancin’ on the day I was born! Only took me 15 years to jump on the bus, Jehovah’s favorite choir fills my days with song!!
