This show starts off awesome and then along comes Branford and it's onto another level. Love the little human moments that get picked up and captured in recordings like Brent chuckle during We Can Run and Phil asking NOW What? going into Ramble on Rose. The When I Paint My Masterpiece is also lovely had me all Phil'd Up andJerry little string play through the midi is nice. It's not the biggest of finishes but it never rushes. Then the Branford portion is just like F'N A man.. wow.

Man this show turns the page. It's like a spiritual experience. The entire trip hits the high notes. But Bird Song bends the mind and keeps it stretched until Dark Star. It's just something else altogether. What a rush.

I was gifted a box of tapes from a family friend in 2023, after my 2nd Dead-related show. Among them were Cornell 77's 2nd set, 12/26/79's second set, and this show's second set. This was the tape I wore out.

I was lucky enough to be there on this magical night. Brandford brought an already amazing show to the next level. One of the best Dead shows I ever attended.
