Also this is one of those later era Playin jams that has several moments where it’s like some kind of intangible art piece(which it is) that could be framed. At least in my mind. Hard to put into words but that’s how I see these moments in my mind. Moments that last a second or 2 that are like a snapshot in my minds eye. They even have an abstract sort of “look” to them to me. Always wondered if others see it this way too. I’m betting some do.

Probably my favorite Vince only show I’ve heard. We’ve gotten very few officially but this and 3/17/93 are amazing and have a similar sound. I really think Vince sounded great with the band on his own when he used the more standard piano sounds. Not as versatile as Brent or as energetic but I think it just sounded “right” for the bands sound at this point. I know there are people who don’t agree with me and it’s not all the time but I do think he sounded much better by himself over time. Once Bruce left he was freed from using only the cheesy(to me) weak sounding keyboard sounds. Anyways great show. Wish we’d get more official post 91 releases on cd.

Raining heavy that night. Big old concrete Oakland Coliseum was its usual charming self. Ok parking lot with the rain being a slight let down on any fun and games. If memory serves Jerry came on stage left side and walked all the way to the right side smoking a cigarette. Bob seemed in the zone that night. No short shorts but he was on it. Phil his usual “Phil Bomb” self with a very in pocket vibe the whole show. We went nuts at Dark Star. Blew that concrete roof right off. Some real gems in 92. Fortunately I was at this one. Phil really keeps the boys on track this show. Just enough space walking to keep the crowd guessing. Never got enough credit I think our man Phil: he kept those boys most nights on the ball. Take care friends. May the four winds blow us all safely home.
