Opening with David Grisman’s Opus 57 is batty move. Off the David Grisman Quintet 1977 self titled release. (Note on that album. Dawg doesn’t own the rights. That’s why we have never seen a reissue. So if you have the rights. Send them to David Grisman.) The original cut is 2:56 so the boys stayed really close to how it’s wrote.
Squirrel Hunters is a fiddle tune that often gets associated with John Hartford.
Uncle Penn is a Bill Monroe and His Bluegrass Boys cover. The Father of Bluegrass.

The boys were absolutely beautiful that night. Exceptional interplay and superb song choices for the set. Everytime I see them they seem to get even better! Never not been smiling ear to ear after a MGU set! The chilly water they came back for to close out the Dwellers set is an all timer as well. Thanks!

Love these guys, they upstaged Kitchen Dwellers big time! amazing to see how many people were there solely for MGU. Hoping they'll come back as the main show next time!

They were so good, they upstaged kitchen dwellers. Saw them back in August, how good they’ve become in the that short time was astounding.

First time seeing them live. Luke was shredding. Awesome show overall. I wish MGU had been the headliner. Maybe next year?
