This was an extra special show for me and the family I was with that weekend. One of my dearest friends, of whom I haven't spoken to in a couple years, calls me while I'm in chicago. seeing Widespread those two nights at the Chicago theater then Billy 3 nights at Rosemont. Anyway..... it was a very somber call that began with a request to get to the 60th. I knew there had to be something more than just that. well..... he discovered he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I dropped everything, drove straight to him, packed the car and we belined it to SF. He was also on the Billy Bus and to watch him get to enjoy that weekend was magic. He passed shortly after in mid October but man am I grateful I got to honor his last request!!

I had never heard Billy play live before this show. I cannot stop listening to the 2025 tour. I'm completely blown away by every show.. I know I'm late to the party but and better late than never. BMFS!

Billy certainly brought the energy and set the tone for Night 1. His band got more enthusiastic applause than Dead & Company. Such a great band!!!

Billy was a bad ass throughout, as usual. I am going to see him for the first time on my birthday in my hometown Pittsburgh. He's already been rubbing elbows with some very respected musicians like Trey, Grisman, Carlos Santana, Billy Kreutzman, Les Claypool, Vince Herman,etc.. Not name-dropping for any reason other than acknowledging that for someone so young it's remarkable. Oh yeah. I was at the Phish shows in Michigan and when BMFS came out for his sit-in that place was bonkers for the hometown kid.
