Reviews for The Disco Biscuits: 9/27/2009 The Fillmore, Charlotte, NC

When they said they were gonna open with a new song, there were some loud boos around me. Was pretty funny at the time, but in retrospect, Donde was better choice than High Speed Racer or Mirrors or some of the other new tunes of the era. The show was super high energy, and while maybe not as good as earlier 09 or NYE run, it was definitely worth the trip down from Chapel Hill. 42 > Gangster and Ladies> 42 were highlights of the first set. The Dribble jam got pretty heavy, and Run Like Hell-icopters to close it out was a high octane frenzy. Barber smashed his guitar at the end of Helix and threw the pieces into the crowd. Fuckin rock concert!! Good banter before World Is Spinning, even if the song didn't turn out how they described it. No funk in Very Moon, it was played the night before in TN
