Would love to drop a long winded story about my experience, but I still haven’t really found the words to describe it, my mom had passed about a year and a half before the show (she was the biggest Billy/bluegrass lover ever I think and my parents had met at university of Kentucky in Lexington), I had the pleasure of taking a tab with my dad for the first time right before we went in, and the rest I can’t describe, thank you Billy for validating so many feelings I had buried for so long, thank you Billy for bringing me and my dad so close together while we were still in such a time of grief, thank you Billy for having the courage to still play this show and express yourself in the way you did, thank you Billy for making us feel close to my mother again (always does), THANK YOU BILLY, greatest show ever in such a weird way, RIP momma strings!

Probably my 50th time listening to this show. The emotion, love and energy are nothing like I’ve ever heard from the boys. In first set, Rock of Ages and Ain’t Nothin stuck out. He plays and sings with so much power. Absolutely hammering the strings. This separates the show. Every note was perfect. Rest heavenly Debra Apostol ??
