This show marked an inflection point in Shon's joining Spafford. The musicianship and acumen to seemingly mesh with a classic Spafford one hour improvisational journey and do it with flying colors is rock solid.

A one-song set is exactly what this new lineup needed, IMO. Especially since Jordan's not coming back. It's what I needed to hear as a listener: give Shon the time and space to explore, as well as the opportunity for him to influence the direction of the band. While I am still crushed by losing Jordan, this was a step (and only a step) in the right direction for me accepting his departure.
