9th show, jake exploded in turn and run which is the biggest reason i go to um, but bb dominated for most of the show, especially 2nd self. lots of great singing, flawless divisions, and great jam in strangers with some michael mixed in. just another example of why umphreys is the best thing going because they can rock in so many different gears - sucks for people that dont know or havent seen them, but awesome for everyone who has. rawk.

This was my first time seeing Umphreys, and they were awesome! The sound was amazing and it was a great venue because you could actually see the band. I couldn't believe how trippy their sound was! Every member of the band is a beast on their instrument and brought the goods. I want to mention the light show too because it was outstanding as well. The Love Supreme jam was so sweet and much appreciated. I definitely want to see Umphreys again as soon as possible. Thanks to the band and crew for a real good time! Keep it strange, keep the change. Remember Jerry G. Peace.

This was my first live show at Paper Mill Island or with UM and I was very impressed with both. There was a good tailgating scene in downtown B-ville and easy access to the venue being about a 5 minute walk from parking. If you purchased tix ahead of time, you literally walked right in the doors. Once you arrived there were beer stands everywhere (this is the Anheiser Bush Ampitheater!) and anywhere you stood or set up was a good view of the band. The band seemed excited about the turnout in this new venue for them, self-admittedly, and played a very tight and high energy 3 sets. I have heard just the staple songs of UM on Sirius-JamOn, where I was first introduced to the band, but that clearly does not do them justice as their musicianship, precision rhythm pocket and virtuoso guitar playing blew me away. I thought the sound from the venue was outstanding and the light show fit in very well with the ups and downs of their manic tunes. I can't wait to hear the show on disc, especially the Roseana cover and Dre 2000 tease. I will definitely catch these Notre Dame Alumni again (sorry for spelling no checker).
