Reviews for The String Cheese Incident: 7/3/2009 Rothbury Festival, Rothbury, MI

Its great to see the boys back on stage together again! It is really hard to find a String Cheese Incident that lacks high energy and great musicianship and this incident is no exception. I especially liked the 10 new songs they played since 2000. Bump 'n' Reel, Desert Dawn, Best Feeling with Keller! I need air! And Jason on percussion! He blows me so far into the statosphere that its just like I'm seeing him for the first time, although he's been with the band since the summer of 2004. I cant wait for a full tour. I know the incidents will be far and few between, but at least I'll see them play again. Unlike Santa Cruz, who probably didn't even buy this show, (why would he, he hates it) I bought it and highly recommend it. The Cheese continues to evolve and never lets me down when I see them live. Living proof that Darwin was right. Holy 'o' golden schkemakalay!

I am You.. , Thanks for your input. This as stated in the instructions is not a public bulletin board. AKA this site is to review the show. I am stating my opinion of the show in order to educate someone who might be thinking about purchasing the show. You on the other hand want to spread the word about positive energy. This show is simply not worth the money.

Its a shame that for so long so many people complained that String Cheese has changed, and now others complain there has not been enough change... How about this - We are all expressive artists, and we express what is in our hearts, at some times it resonates with certain people, and at other times it may not - take what you need when you need it, and when you dont, just pass it on - no need to hate - it is music, and certainly the best music community i have ever been a part of - So how about we keep things positive for those who may still be experiencing Positivity. Much Love and Many Blessings.

Sorry to offend you my friend. Im just saying they still play the same songs the same way and it is very predictable and boring. I did notice the new drummer who did hit the bongo's once in awhile however not very impressive. Also, the "space" is lacking layering and potential. The thing that disappointed me that most was that they had a long time to prepare for the gig and failed to impress. Oh yeah, that group hoot was sick!

nice post shit head! perhaps you didn't notice the other drummer on stage or the freakin space music that a formerly bluegrass-cenetered band now rocks...which by the way was billy's reason for splitting on 2007. blow your nose. MORE CHEESE PLEASE!!!!! I was @ the ogden show and this one was way tighter!!!! love to follow these guys wherever the music takes them!

I saw this show streaming on iclip. Back in 2000 i spent a year of my life following these guys around. Looking back on this band i find myself asking, what was i doing? SCI is the same band i used to see and have not evolved very much in the past ten years or so. Could it have been all of the molly i constantly had encrusted in my nostril?
