Reviews for The String Cheese Incident: 6/24/2009 Ogden Theatre, Denver, CO

If I hadn't been so hot during the show, I would have had goosebumps! What a gift to be able to see the band.....enjoy the family vibe.....and dance my ass off again! I missed this music more than I thought I would and when they opened with Lonesome Fiddle Blues, well, it was my first show all over again. I'll never forget Keith's face when they came out on stage - he looked JOYFUL. And, when we got a group hoot (which we didn't get at RR 2 years ago) the entire place was INSANE. It looked and felt like the band had as much fun as we. To quote an old song "Gimmie the beat boys and free my soul, I wanna get lost in your rock & roll, and drift away....thanks for the joy that you've given me....."

Excellent recordings... Wish I could have made it to the show... Downloaded it before leaving for Rothbury... made the 9 hour drive much more enjoyable and was perfect for getting me in the mood for the main event... Which stole the whole weekend for me.

My 59th SCI show somehow exceeded my expectations. And make no mistake, those expectations were high. I know what Cheese can do when talent and teamwork mixes with passion and energy. A magical evening of music, shaking your booty, and mile-wide smiles. But the Ogden show was something even more special. It was a chance for our community to reconnect.

I love the SCI family I’ve met over the years on the road. You know how to have fun and you’re generous to those who are less fortunate. Think of all the SCI family has done to help feed hungry families through Conscious Alliance. We've made a big difference to those less fortunate.

For those who didn’t have a good time, it’s pretty simple, honestly. Please do yourselves a favor, save some money(!) and stop attending shows. For the rest of you all who love this band, I look forward to seeing you on the road.

I got the call about the show the Friday before........needless to say I dropped 50,000 frequent flyer miles and $500 bucks at the drop of a hat and I was in by the following day.

The show exceeded all expectations. Pure old school MELT YOUR FACE CHEESE......... lots of fiddle and pick' in, with large doses of trippy funky trance jams. I haven't seen so many faces with such big smiles since my last incident. Show was pure energy right out of the gate with a great set list contianing a lot of serious jamming. The love coming from the stage poured all over the lucky crowd for 4+ hours......what a night of great music!..... Download this great sounding recording if you want to feel that energy all over again.
