Great personal show? How about the BEST under-the-radar SCI show in existence? This was my second show, but will probably remain my favorite for a long time. Its just solid and delightful all the way through. The journey through the setlist never gets old for me. The first part of the show is good ole get down Cheese, lots of rockin` honkey tonkin and fiddlin`. When second set comes into play, its just STRONG and emotional throughout. naive > remington is the climax of the eve, but it all comes again with Rivertrance and the BEST SHINE IVE EVER HEARD before Encore. I just think this is the perfect SCI show of the era....lots of grooves, but lots of fiddlin as well. There is something in the air that night that comes thru on disc....its straight up no bullshit Cheese, and a very unique intimate night in the pavillion in Chico. I will never forget this show and I will listen to these discs til Im dead and gone.
