Reviews for Widespread Panic: 10/17/2009 Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Woodlands, TX

   AWESOME  (10/30/2009 1:23:25 PM)

This was my 1st time to see or hear any of WP's music. I had heard of them, but not "heard" them. I am thrilled that I saw this show, and wish that I had seen them before. From the first few notes of LGDTB, I was on my feet and didn't sit down for 2 hours! My friends that were with me, were also dancing and having a great time. I immediately bought the CD at intermission and LOVE it. I will definitely see them whenever I can in the future. The crowd was great, the weather was perfect, and the music was AWESOME. Thank you from your new fans!.

Just for shits and giggles, 'Cortez The Killer' was last played at Oak Mountain, YES, but in the year of our leord 2002 (April 28,2002) ... I know b/c I was thur !! This setlist is the type I love to see, and when I cannot see the boys 98% of the year, I anxiously await to see what 'white rabbits' they pull outta their respective hats throughout the year/tours !!

I am d/l'ing this one b/c it's a tour closer .... and oh yeah, for the OBVIOUS sick run of songs from start to finish ... with my man, Warren Haynes, helping the shred.

What can I say? The boys brought the thunder to end their tour with the brothers.. LGDTB, Give > Disco was an awesome three song opener... Blue Indian > JR > PAYMH > Ribs and Whiskey was a great selection from the boys.. and everyone loved the Use Me > Cortez > LGM run... and a Parsons closer.. Overall the boys put on a great run in TX to close out.. Can't Wait for Halloween in Austin.. Any costume ideas??

Nice opening uppercut w/ Business. Agree w/ the kickass Use Me>Cortez>LG&M. Can't wait for H'ween in Austin. Too bad the Backyard is no more.

Another awesome show from both bands. Thought the venue in Dallas was more chill. We had the Nazi ticket checker in our section! Let's get down to Business is exactly what panic did right from the start. The whole set kicked ass but definately a treat to see Use Me, Cortez, LG&M, Conrad!! Warren is the man. The Allman's set was awesome too and it was fun to see both bands on stage for Southbound. Looking forward to flying back to Texas in a couple of weeks for Halloween!

Hey DABFA(Brandon)-

Lawyers Guns and Money into USE ME into Cortez the Killer with Warren must I saw anymore. I almost shit myself when I saw that they played Cortez the Killer. I have been to over 300 shows trying to catch a Cortez and the one that I miss they play it. Anyone who is never heard Panic please this Neil Young classica you have to check it out. The band has only ever played the song one time and that was in 2001 in Pelham. Wow what a great lookingt show if you have the funds I would suggest purchasing this show its a classic.
