Reviews for Widespread Panic: 7/24/2009 10000 Lakes Festival, Detroit Lakes, MN

I have only seen this band one other time (2005 10klf), but Friday night's show this year converted me into a TRUE FAN. The concert experience itself was fantastic--happy vibes and shimmery people. But Panic! Wow! Simply outstanding. I downloaded this show immediately and was thrilled to discover that my senses had not deceived me. I loved all of it, but I am partial to the 3rd disc--The heavy-duty-pay-off riffage of "Her Dance..." effortlessly moving to the flat out mindblowing "Chilly Sandwich" (as others have termed), followed by "Action Man" (which might just be my favorite), and the encore: "Airplane" and "Pilgrims". Just out of this world. Loved every minute. Can't wait til I can see them again. Thanks, guys!

I am Trinity. Haha I pulled it over on you all. A guy from the ACLU and I had a bet to see if I could pull it off.

2 great shows at 10,000 lakes; the boys made my summer.

This was the most well orchestrated show I've ever experienced. It seemed that the fans, the band, and the sound were playing off of each other to create the maximum excitement one can only expect from Widespread Panic. Everyone there that beautiful night experienced something very special, a show that absolutely owned its place at the top among my 30+ Panic shows. Thank you 10,000 Lakes, the crowd there that night, and the best Rock band on Earth. AS Dave said before the Encore: "Perfect!"

As School's looked out to the crowd before the airplane encore he said one word...." perfect" Seems to sum up this epic rock show, everything you could want from WSP including JB giving a shout out to hometown boys Trampled by Turtles who he said rocked his world.

To quote the guy in the campground after the show...
"That was some badass Panic"

While I have not seen a ton of shows, this was WAY up there as far as the ones that I have seen. The Wonderin got the crowd going nuts, the Chilly sandwich was great and the encore couldn't have been more perfect.

IMHO, this is some must hear WSP.
