I'm not sure I was a huge fan of other up-tempo versions of Legend. This one, though. I like this one.
Master of the "active" segue for a long time, I can't help but notice that they're crushing the "passive" segue lately. Passive meaning the song is slowly wound down to a near stop before the next song starts. Basically what happens for Legend > Eyes. For another recent example, see last friggin' night's Plush > Postman. Eyes itself is a party. Cory sounds > funk > cory sounds + DEEP funk. Boing!
Pets is very good. The best version I can recall, at least.
The second is good, with Red's being my highlight- just hit play, OK?

This show is insanely good. Maybe the best show of 2024 so far. Many, many highlights.

Really incredible last night! Very energetic, loved every minute of it. Def better without the opener like at Cats Cradle in September. Can’t wait for the next show!

Spafford just keeps delivering show after show. This was my only show of the Winter/Spring run and they drew up a heater, showcasing not only their untzy side with loads of Cory during Legend, Pets, LTLO, Red’s Jam and the nasty All In>Cantaloupe sandwich to close set 2, but also reaching heavy jazz improv during the sick In the Eye of Thieves. Thanks Spafford for continuing to push each and every night.
