Though not as long as many jams (by Spafford measures) this Lonely is in the running for one of my personal favorite jams of the year. Keep keeping on Spafford.

Solid opening night to the Midwest leg of the tour. Memphis In The Meantime is the clear standout here.

Gold Glittered Hat -> Eternity was the 1st set highlight for me.  I’m a big GGH fan, anyways, but this version delivers the goods.  This show is all about the Memphis, IMO.  When I think about what makes Spafford such a improvisational powerhouse, it’s jams like this.  Another good recent example is the 12/8/23 Broken Wing.  Patience, communication, spacing – it’s all there – leave you with a funk-filled, airy jam that does eventually lead to a high-powered peak before dropping into Motel 6.  Each member shines in this at a different point, but to my ears, Cory and Nick are the catalyst for the evolutions within this jam.

Wow this show is straight fire. The MITM is just incredible and the lonely is no slouch either. First set is great too but that 2nd set is the goods

These guys go out there night after night throwing down top notch jams and barely get the recognition. Caught the first 2 shows of this tour in Connecticut and had a blast as always. Go see them if you’re looking for fun night and crazy jams
