Reviews for The Disco Biscuits: 3/15/2024 State Theatre, Portland, ME

Two months after this show, I'm still listening to it almost daily. This was my first Bisco show but from what I gather from other reviews, it's widely regarded as a heater. Regardless of where it ranks in tDB shows of lore, to my ears this first set is one of the most incredible continuous 80 minutes of music by any band, ever.

Welcome to the circus buddy. You were not alone at their first show that night. Was with another first timer and he had an absolute blast! We got to chill briefly with Brownie, Magner and Allen as they were walking to their rooms from the State across the street. Fun! Quick story – the new fan I was with recognized the gamma goblins teases. He is a big Shpongle scene guy. He asked Brownie if he had heard it correctly. Brownies face totally lit up! It's as if he consciously included the tease that very night for my new fan buddy. Helluva night...best show ever! Maine BASIS?!? B4L

First show, mind absolutely blown. Not a show I would typically go to but I’m now hooked so hard on the Biscuits that it’s borderline psychotic…

That sister Judy had me sobbing in my bros lap. It was so perfect.

The state always has the energy, but this show was on the level of 2015 HAB pause! Place was going absolutely bizzerk from the get…SJSS got super truancy and deep from the jump and > One Chance was slick. Inv 42 brought a lot of energy and > Doorbell had the walls shaking. There was a full 3-5 standing ovation when the band stopped after closing out SJSS and the band was feeling the love! Basis>Wormhole>Time Square was as good as could be. Overall very dancy show with some fun jams and some darkness that worked well in both sets

Took SJSS for a hell of a spin. Could listen to them build up and release the mid section of that jam all damn day. Get it while it’s hot yall - B4L
