Reviews for The Disco Biscuits: 3/7/2024 The Fillmore, Silver Spring, MD

Bonus show for a bro out on a business trip. What a fortuitous happening. Mind blown by the first set. Helicopters was dirtyAF. I thought set 2 was relentless. Very strong Shimmy>Abyss that was so dirty/nasty it ended up in the dumpster. Wasn’t immediately stoked they busted into PBR, but it is rare and it was a Huge highlight. Barber was possessed. Thought the inverted Crickets reached respectable intensity. I’m always happy catching a DTTB

I could’ve gone home satisfied if they called it a show after the first set ended. Ring the Doorbell Twice is pure distilled barrel aged untz. Crickets back into Shimmy to end the second set was all smiles

As someone who was really big into the biscuits like 12-15 years ago, this show was a huge treat. The boys are playing better than ever, and I can’t believe I’ve been missing out. The sound/mix was perfect, the light show was tastefully bananas, and Barber can actually sing now! New songs were really fun and it seems like the fans are into them, I just don’t know them as well or have the same emotional attachment to them (yet, but that will likely change). For me the highlight of the show was that huge, triumphant, gallivanting crickets jam. That song and jam embodies everything I loved about biscuits as a wee lad, and I implore people to check that out. Shimmy sandwich, PBR, and DttB encore were exceptional as well. Just listen to the whole show. Will NOT be missing a show in my area ever again.

Best they have sounded in more than a decade. Those space opera songs, which I didn’t love at first, breathed life into this band. Babs’ tone sounds perfect. Can’t wait for Webster.

Whoa sensory overload! These lads are dialed in!
