While Ice Cream and Todd's have some extra zest on them, the first set is all about the Double Time. A high-speed, funk-fueled jaunt leading to a soaring peak. DYK Cory can play clav and synth at the same time? WOW. Cory drops the clav shortly after for some paced-out and spaced-out pure synth sounds. This yields to Brian picking up a theme that they all carry through to the peak.
The Way….SET 2 opener... Picks up around 9 minutes and when it does, reminds me of 5/24/13 Ain’t That Wrong (listen if ya haven’t, it's on archive). This is excellent Spafford.
A (rare?) standalone Mind's goes full bliss. YUM
Trance Ginger – Fun – especially afterwards for the segue into Plans. This doesn’t happen on this night if a certain fan from (u)CONN doesn’t ask the band to go out for sushi before the show. Yes, that's a super inside reference for 6 people.
I love this band.
