In 2019, I caught Pigeons Playing Ping Pong opening for The String Cheese Incident in New Orleans and thought they were great! Fast forward to 2023, I saw that Pigeons were playing a show in town so I decided to get a ticket. Little did I know, I was about to encounter Dogs in a Pile as the opening act. I had never heard of them at the time, but WOW!!! This is one of those rare occasions where the opening act was way better than the main act. These guys are the REAL DEAL!! Great songwriters and loaded with talent! The MONTANA Zappa cover was also a super sweet treat! This band is a 10/10 and going to the top! This band is what the jam band scene has needed for quite some time!
