Reviews for Billy and The Kids: 8/16/2023 Pier Six Pavilion, Baltimore, MD

Barton Hall 77 is regarded amongst some of the finest performances of the Grateful Dead. Dancing in the Street and Morning Dew are both singled out as standout performances in this standout show, in spite of their obvious vocal or melodic flubs. Kanika flubs the first line of Ship of Fools, but ultimately delivers one of the, if not the best, rendition of this song I've ever heard. Dead music is about stepping beyond one's horizon. Mistakes are made, and thank God for those mistakes - we wouldn't have these performances without them.

Scarlet Begonias sounded about as good as I’ve ever heard it. Really enjoyed Kanika Moore’s vocals on it.

Amazing show and the soundboard really does not do it justice because of how amazing liquid lights was at the pier. Only downside was Kanika forgot some lyrics and Because the Night was a terrible way to end things… should have called it a night after Ship of Fools.

Billy’s still got it. Once and for all we know those Dead and Company tempo complaints weren’t on him. Really nice getting to hear him shine solo
