Reviews for Widespread Panic: 4/23/2005 Alltel Pavilion at Walnut Creek, Raleigh, NC

Best 2 night stand I`ve seen from the boys in at least 5 years. Of course, I`m getting old and I don`t get out much these days. 1st saw WP at a UNC frat party in `88 or `89. Was there when they were the first band to take the stage at Alltel (AKA Walnut Creek) opening for the Connells(?). Caught quite a few shows through out the 90`s, but sensed a lack of inspiration in the recent past. Holy S***, there back!

Two incredible nights in Raleigh! It was well worth the band taking
a year off.The time off seems especially well spent for George.A much tighter and fluid sound this time around.Great to hear some of the older, lesser known songs in the line-up.I loved hearing "The Last Straw".Still miss Mikey but things are improving
Makes me wanna go to Charlotte and Asheville. The future is bright.

My buddy Travis and I trekked out from California to see these shows as a birthday present from his wife, thinking the shows would be on par with what we had heard from Atlanta, etc. To our surprise, they sounded tighter than we had heard them in a long, long time. Someone did his homwork in the off season (George). Do yourself a favor and pick up both shows. 4/22 is worth picking uip for the Fishwater alone.

Wow!! incredible show....both nights at Raleigh were unbelievable. In my long career of attending concerts both nights at Raleigh rank near the top. You could just tell the band was right on the money and flowing together both nights. The Raleigh shows are def. worth the money to download.

OMG!! Finally! One of the best performances by the boys, dare I say ever, at least in recent memory. High powered and very clean. A must have. Glad I was there to witness it.
