Reviews for Widespread Panic: 4/22/2005 Alltel Pavilion at Walnut Creek, Raleigh, NC

Best show since Houser`s death...by far the best from 2005

I went to these two shows. these Alltel shows are DEFINATLY the BEST SHOWS I can find from 2005, but the sound quality is NOT up to par with the performance. If these recordings are from multi-tracks, they need to be re-mixed. If they are ever remastered, i would like to be able to download them without having to pay another 10 dollars. Also, you could mix (matrix) this source with the incredible audience recordings and it would sound a ton better.

I was able to attend both nights in Raleigh, and without a shadow of a doubt Fridays show is one of the hottest shows I have had the pleasure of attending!!!
I have been lucky enough to attend all the shows at Walnut Creek/Alltel Pavillion even back to the boys opening up for the Connels on Earth Day many moons ago, man how the years roll by.
Friday night as soon as the thump of Arlene hit I knew it was time to strap on the seatbelt because it was going to be a wild ride, then right into possibly the best played TYS with George to date!! I counted 5 peaks and the crowd down front was eating it up!!!There is about a 2 to 3 minute Hatfield tease by Dave and JoJo before landing into Blue Indian. I`m so glad they have brought back Holden and I`m so proud of the way George handles the lead on this one. Nice transition into BIB, I have noticed that they have done away with the vocal breakdown section of this song that they were doing in 2003. The Jam out of Nebulous had Dave bobbing our heads with his thumps into a smooth Mercy with possibly the best Jam of the whole show(definitly pay attention to the interplay between all 6 of them on this)into Porch.
Well I have rambled enough and there is nothing really to say about the 2nd set except that the whole set is one big highlight reel. The first Maggot with George and it was very impressive!!
Diner>Guilded>Bowlegged nuff said!!!
If anyone is deciding whether to download this show, It is a MUST HAVE trust me!!!

Your wasting time reading this review you should be downloading this show. Nothing short of spectacular. Just Mercy and Maggot Brain are enough to justify buying this show.
