Wow! Great compilation. Three words... river>river>river.
Drew Emmitt! Incredible!
Well put together glimpse of the spring tour.
About as close as I can get, living in Atlanta :(
Come back to the southeast boys, going to be an incredible fall.
Highly recomended!

I am what one would consider a "casual" SCI fan. I have Carnival 99, the Fillmore DVD, and a few of the OTR cds. I`ve seen the band only once and that was at Bonnaroo `04. When I saw that they were going to be playing near me (Richmond, VA) on the summer tour, I wanted to buy something to kinda update me on what was going on in SCI these days. And all I can say is...WOW. These cds are rapidly turning me into a regular cheese-head.

While this set obviously doesn`t have the flow of a regular show per se, it does have a unique flow of its own. The real focus here is on the jams (Lonesome Fiddle->"mammoth jam", Impressions -> "coal train jam", Little Hands -> "big easy jam", and my personal favorite "Land`s End-> "big jackson jam") and the guest performances (especially Drew Emmitt and the famous Jane`s songs with Perry Farrell). It seems like Drew Emmitt sings more songs than most of the band members. The addition on Jason Hann on percussion adds even more flavor to the limber rhythms provided by Travis. These guys really know how to get a groove going and then build it and buiild it -> all while keeping it fun and more importantly...listenable. Which is not something one can say about all the bands on the jamband scene past or present.

In summary, I would recommend this set to anyone even remotely interested in SCI. It probably doesn`t succeed in giving me an accuarate picture of what a typical SCI is like these days (if one can be typical)...but it does something much greater than that..it provides an excellent summary of tour highlights with extended and unique jams and guest appearances.

My one complaint would be that I purchased the cds and they were CD-Rs -> not manufactured CDs. So if you are not "bandwidth challenged", then I would highly recommend just downloading the show -> you can burn it yourself to CD-R and save a few bucks. Enjoy!

Well, it`s been since 2002 for an Oklahoma Incident (EVEN THOUGH WE`RE IN THE STATE NEXT TO CHEESE`S HOMEBASE...COME ON GUYS...), I thought this would be the perfect way to catch-up on the last tour. Haven`t seen The Cheese since Austin in October. They just seem to get better with each passing year. This tour document is prooof! I`ve been playing it non stop since download. Now I better start loading some of the individual shows from the tour! Sounding damn fine to these ears......maybe some more show in the Southwest come Fall? Come on guys...we`re waiting.
