Reviews for Dead and Company: 1/16/2023 Playing In The Sand, Riviera Maya, MX

This was the BEST show at PITS this year. Energy was over the top; everyone was having a blast. Hearing it takes me back to spinning in the sand.

Bobby’s tone is legendary. Adds to the overall density of the songs, and as a result, the whole energy improves as a result. I really hope he keeps it —- way better than the ping pongy sound of the mid-to-late ‘70s. Gonna be a helluva farewell!

Pretty dope show. Bobby’s guitar really is overbearing but I think he just likes to lay into that scratchy sound I can imagine the tech warning him and Bobby just laying into lmao

Who is Bob weirs guitar tech and why does he still have a job. That tone is just egregious. I don’t understand.

Had the best week at pits but this set really sits in a special place for me. Dark star, watchtower, morning dew, and uncle John’s band are some of my personal highlights

the last five minutes of Space are a crazy jam! Do not miss!

Great show but the mix is very raw. Bobby’s guitar is way too loud and John too far back in the mix. Sounds more like a Wolf Bros show.

Great Dark Star and nice Playing in the Band sandwich!
